Now
the question we get is...what if you got the keys, who
is
on the Board, who are the students, what faculty do you
have
and how do you make a dying institution come back to life?
First,
we do not have all of the answers this minute,
but
closure certainly has none.
Second,
there is a ground swell of support to try
to
sustain the College- a property that does not have
the
same value as any other type of place.
Third,
there are women with, energy, yes, but a
life
born in the bowels of that glorious place-
that
took power into lives from there that will not die,
nor
let it go through negligence.
So,
while the details of the life of the college
cannot
be known this minute, this night,
all
she gave us can make us know this is not her
last
breath - not so long as we breathe and give
air
back to the sails she taught us to set.
Pity
the end of any mediation. May the current Board
accept
out thanks for their efforts and then dare any
to
come in and do any better. If the second wave fails,
the
rest cannot be any worse.
But,
this entire event could be just the disruption in how
things
have been done that makes the change for
longevity
the logical and sustaining step.
Let
us talk. not sue, think and not dig in,
believe
and not scorn, and look at the communities,
and
institutions In our country who need our graduates.
Let's
do this!
